Virtual Store
A virtual store can provide important information about store layout, visual appeal, and appeal as well as insights into customer behavior through virtual shopping. One could import photos of the actual tiling, displays, and themes of a particular store to give additional realism to the visual appearance, workflow, and customer flow.
For market research and customer behavior research, user applications could provide virtual shopping data, including the effects of shelf placement, co-branding, and tracking.
There are several additional applications to this technology:
- Photo-texture real packaging photos onto virtual packages
- Test displays with relevant virtual customer view points
Demonstration Application
In this demonstration, the user can navigate up and down aisles with their shopping cart and interact with different products on the shelves. By selecting them, the objects will come out and rotate showing the different faces of the packaging. The demonstration application can be downloaded here.
